FRIED EGG RICE: EASY RECIPE

Egg fried rice is a quick and easy dish. It takes 10 minutes on the clock to turn three ingredients into a real delicacy.

The ingredients I’m talking about are rice, eggs, and spring onions. The rice is sautéed with the beaten egg, and the spring onions are cut into rings, seasoned only with a sprinkling of salt and pepper. This ensures that the dish has a simple and natural flavor and that the tastes of all the components can be distinguished.

This is one of the most consumed and most popular preparations in the whole of China. The reason for this lies in the fact that in Chinese families often leftover steamed rice, which as you well know has the same function as bread on Italian tables. The easiest and most immediate way to use leftover rice is to make delicious egg-fried rice. And if they also have vegetables or meat in the fridge, they add those too, creating combinations of different flavors each time.

Suppose you are a lover of more complex tastes. In that case, this is a basic recipe that can be the starting point of your initial preparations that you will customize according to your preferences (and the ingredients you have available).

ADVICE FOR MAKING FRIED EGG RICE

The spring onion is the crucial ingredient that balances and harmonizes rice and eggs, both from an aesthetic point of view and flavor. For this recipe, you need three spring onions.

Before adding the rice, saute the eggs in the pan until they are half cooked and half raw. In this way, there will more significant pieces in the dish (egg already boiled). At the same time, the rest of the egg will wrap the individual grains of rice.

Suppose you want to enrich the flavor of egg-fried rice. You can add two tablespoons of soy sauce after adding the salt. Or a teaspoon of sesame oil before serving the rice on plates. In addition, you can dice vegetables such as peppers. Carrots, courgettes, and cook them for a couple of minutes before starting to cook the eggs. Even meat (cooked ham?) Is not bad.

Fried rice tastes best when sautéed in the wok. So if you don’t have a wok, I suggest you take a look at this one. It’s the one I use: it has never disappointed me.
