The 4th Industrial Revolution’s technological advancements have changed how our society operates in the workspace, schooling systems, personal homes and overall shopping experiences. Some of the top electronics companies have managed to surpass minor companies in transforming how we get to experience new-age technology.

Consumer electronics consists of a variety of product ranges such as TVs, smartphones, cameras, laptops, refrigerators, smart watches and a lot more. Below are some of the best electronics companies in the world.

Apple

Apple has managed to make a name for itself within the electronics world by having an immense product portfolio. The company was formed on the 1st April 1976 by Steve Jobs Ronald Wayne and Steve Wozniak. The very first product launched was the Apple 1, which was a computer designed and produced by Steve Wozniak.

What differentiates Apple from their competitors is that their products are bespoke, meaning that if you use an apple device, it is impossible to link it to a non-Apple device. This limitation has built a brand loyalty that has made the company attain their customers and deliver superior quality over the years. Some of Apple’s flagship products include iPhone, Mac, iPad, iWatch and more.

Samsung

Samsung is a South-Korean electronics company that was founded in 1938 and was initially supposed to be a trading company. Samsung has many subsidiaries throughout the world and the biggest revenue generating product in their product range has been the sales of their smartphones that are ideal for visiting mobile optimised sites that offer an online casino welcome bonus.

The company also has other business segments such as marine and fire insurance, life insurance and heavy industries. The company has had phenomenal success in manufacturing appliances as well as refrigerators, TVs, and laptops. Samsung products are known for their impeccable quality and reliability which has continued to maintain a solid customer loyalty.

Sony

Sony Group is a Japanese manufacturer of consumer electronics and forms the parent company of Sony Corporation which is the electronics business unit. The company has numerous subsidiaries such as Sony Global Manufacturing and Operations Corporation, Sony Storage and Media Devices, Sony Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation among many others.

Sony has a variety of product ranges which include computing, audio, photography and videography, television, home theatre systems, smart devices and accessories, energy storage, cables, semiconductor and components. The company has recently focused on 4K technology, offering high quality products. Sony is the same company that also manufacturers the PlayStation, a video game console brand.

LG

LG is a South Korean electronics company with a presence in over 80 countries throughout the world. Interestingly enough, LG was initially known was Rak-Hui, pronounced as ‘lucky’ and used to produce plastics. It merged with a company by the name of Goldstar and together produced soaps, toothpastes and other toiletry products.

This merger didn’t last too long as it dissolved and LG became what it’s known for today, a mega electronics manufacturer. Some of the challenges LG faced in their business model was that it was hugely decentralised, meaning that the purchasing decisions were made by many small units and these purchases were hence duplicated.

The company recognised the issue and of not taking advantage of bulk purchasing. They managed to restore the company’s problem and to date, they’re still considered as one of the biggest electronics companies in the world.
